While the struggle continues to stop the Keystone XL pipeline from being built and pumping thousands of tons of dirty, carbon intensive tar sands oil into the US from Canada, a tragic reality is unfolding at the source.
According to an investigtion by DeSmogBlog (full disclosure: I used to run it) a sordid tale is unraveling in Northern Alberta where a plan is being considered to poison and kill 6,000 wolves over the next five years to make way for further development of the Canadian tar sands.

I know that what ever we try to do to save the animals the battle will be lost because profit is what motivates most human beings and sadly probably will be the aspect of our nature that will end ours (and all other creatures) existance on this planet. There’s nothing sacred when it comes to profit’s, and even worse they will do this and still no savings for peaple at the gas pumps
Remember who we are talking about-Canadian Goverment. The same government that throws money to support the annual seal hunt. Doesn’t surprise me that they are approving this.
