   DOMINION REVELATION SADNESS

   There was the provident ocean
   of vertical and of horizontal leagues

   Of living water in which
   smallest transparent vials of emerging life
   were turning their bellies to the sun each day

   Sharks and turtles were behaving frantically in
   what they detected was not a suitable home

   Laughing gulls coated in heavy oil wallowing on the surface
   as they struggled with kidney and liver failure

   Later there would have to be put into place an
   enhanced management of avian breeding habitat project
   and an interactive chart that showed
   the volume in the spills as going down

   Injured coral was covered in a heavy mucous

   Farther up the coast large schools of fish
   came to hang around the piers and the idled boats

   Leading the people to believe
   that the fish must feel themselves somewhat safer here

   Tom who had been fishing for many years
   had never seen a better season on the water
   which was so clear and was twenty miles from land

   He wondered if it was possible
   that his huge catch of red snapper and of king mackerel
   and of amberjack was of fishes fleeing from the spill
