How would you arrange 193 flags, the United Nations flag and an Arctic scene to make the most powerful picture possible? We need your creative ideas to help save the Arctic!
In less than a month, our ship the Arctic Sunrise will head to the edge of the sea ice. This will coincide with the annual minimum level of ice – this year it’s set to be the lowest ever.
A picture is worth a thousand words. And we need your help to create an image that will communicate to world leaders that we need to protect the Arctic now.
We have 193 flags representing every country in the world, the UN flag, and the pristine Arctic as our backdrop. Your challenge is to design the picture that we take and bring back to the world’s media.
Sketch it, photoshop it or draw it in pen – we don’t mind. Then please upload your idea to the Save the Arctic facebook page so we can get inspired.
We’re not saying we’ll definitely use one of these pictures, but we know for certain that thousands of ideas will be better than just the ones we have in the campaign team.
So please, get creative – it might just be your idea on the Arctic ice! The deadline for ideas is August 23rd.
Instructions on how to submit your design:
- Go to the Greenpeace Save the Arctic Facebook page
- Click on Photo/Video right next to the Post box

***You can also upload your design to your own wall and mention Save the Arctic, or comment on our post with your idea.***

I thought maybe have the flags spell out the word HELP in several different languages or S.O.S.
Hello Meena, this Patricia from Toledo(Spain). I am not very good at PC skills so, I am not going to design but, I want to share my two ideas for some one else to do it. One idea would be about the importance of the icebergs making the roll of the big umbrellas for the world and the other would be about the importance to have frigdes (to keep our food) at home so, icebers are the great frigdes of the our ONLY house : the Earth.
Thank you to all of you. Sicerely, Patricia
