Japan phases out nuclear power entirely

Japanese public protest against the Japanese government’s nuclear energy policies, demanding a change of energy policy, and also voice their opposition to the restarting of nuclear plants which are currently offline for safety checks, in the streets near the Japanese Prime Minister’s official residence, in Tokyo. The Friday evening demonstrations, which have been ongoing since March this year, and which in the past four weeks have grown considerably in size, are being talked of as the “Hydrangea Revolution” by protestors, as it is hydrangea flower season in Japan.
