Activists from Greenpeace Turkey protest in front of the Hagia Sofia. The activists unfurled banners reading ‘ ‘Next Fukushima Is Your Responsibility’ and planted gravestones representing cities that will be affected by a possible nuclear accident at a planned nuclear power plant in the South East of Turkey. The activists are taking part in a global day of action. Activists in 19 countries protest against nuclear power in advance of the March 11 memorial for the Fukushima Daiichi disaster.
