Sometimes you just need photos of gigantic animals to remind you of the awesomeness in the world. We figured images of whales jumping, swimming, splashing and protecting their young was a good place to start.
In just two weeks, Greenpeace will travel to the International Whaling Commission in Slovenia advocating for a permanent whale sanctuary in the South Atlantic Ocean. Traveling with us will be the names of more than 60,000 people supporting that sanctuary. The critical vote for this sanctuary comes down to Tanzania, a country that relies heavily upon tourism from whale watching.
Tanzania’s vote if often bribed away by Japan, a country that still whales under the guise of “research” and has already begun their minke whale hunt of the season.
